Custom Requests of all varieties pass through everyday. Some are of course more fruitfull than others, where just the proclamation of the idea was enough, and the rest of the process formulises. Some of the simplest tasks completed for clients include cutting out flat pieces of timber for a particular use, beit a toy, a plaque, something on the furniture, or some sort of wall decor - who knows. Sometimes even we're suprised at what we can make! Or for the other extreme in complexity, we've done bar interiors for restuarants, to exterior facades for pubs. Whatever your case maybe, architect, builder, landscaper, interior designer, DIY renovator, craftsperson, or artist, anything can be conceived and completed.

In all of our work the crafted inspiration of many before us is upheld in the traditional and basic techniques we use to produce a particular item. Hand drawing and cutting are not forgotten here at ACS Timber Fretwork. We continue to improve and embellish previous period art peices the exact same way they were crafted in thier day. We collect and cataloge every decorative timber period peice we have ever made (well not all, but the interesting ones at least). So for the last twenty years our range has exponentially grown to an exquisite gallery of decorative Australian heritage and contemporary art. The beauty in what our abilities entail include redrawing original decorative peices to new dimensions without 'skewing' it's appearance, or to mix and match between original works to create completely new but period styled timber fretwork.

Changes to Existing designs, either ours or yours, can be made quite easily. We will always find a way to make a design work for the desired application, or size and measurement restrictions. In most cases the most obvious use for this type of work is when purchasing hallway fretwork. Not every houses hallway is the same - and neither should they be. When requesting a hallway fretwork for your application, a few simple variables are considered, so that the fretwork is made for the house and it's dimensions. Factors such as ceiling height, bulk heads, cornices, width of the opening and overall style determine the final outcome of the Fretwork. All you have to do is choose a fretwork style that you like. The same principals are applied throughout the product range, to make sure that your decorative constructions are in proportion to your home, and not just addons restricted by availability.

Designer Production includes the replication of items according to one's designs. Designs can be supplied in many varied forms, from rough sketches through to supplied digital media. In any case designers can be sure thier creative creations are kept true to the plan. In past projects arhitectural work included custom drawn; fretwork, joinery ie. likes gates, contemporary art objects for example - flood lit copper stained Gum Leaf. Or there have been custom designed; fretwork (interesting contemporary peices), joinery objects like the 'Navy VietBar' pictured, or exterior items such as freestanding artwork or something functional. Other miscellaneous items range from CraftStall holders mass manufactured items through to one off's for anything like a tissue box to candelabra. Our ability to understand the concept and adhere to your desire gives you the advantage to design without restrictions. We have often heard 'how it's just not possible' when really all that is needed is common ground to agree upon a plan of action to achieve the desired effect. For these reasons we may try to help you to achieve a more reasonable approach to design issues like material choice and standardised dimensions thereof. Also issues like disclosure of your item are kept in our hands, and in no way will designs be released unless permitted.

We also do consignment, and commissioned format work. In the latter case, organisations like council and government provide us or the designer with basic concepts for an entailing design. Many times it's as simple as exterior Traditional Timber Signage. When it comes to consignment pieces for re-sale or even just prototyping we provide the client with all the accustomed means to visualise the final concept.
